Patricia A. Starkey is a Stratford native. She attended Stratford public schools and graduated from Bunnell High School in 1981.

In 1985, Patricia graduated with Honors from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree where she held a Major in Political Science and a Minor in Advertising. 

In 1988, Patricia graduated from the University of Bridgeport School of Law with a Juris Doctor Degree. While a law student Patricia was an Honorary Member of the Connecticut Probate Law Journal serving on the Board of Directors as a Notes and Comments Editor.

In 1988, Patricia was hired as a Staff Attorney for the State of Connecticut, Judicial Branch, Department of Legal Research specifically serving the judges of the Judicial District of Ansonia at Milford. While with the State, Patricia advanced to the position of Supervising Staff Attorney serving the judges of the District of Fairfield at Bridgeport where she was the direct supervisor of six other attorneys. Eventually, Patricia was elevated to the position of Supervising Staff Attorney for the Department of Legal Research where she directly co-supervised thirty-two attorneys stationed throughout the State of Connecticut.  

In 1993, Attorney Starkey left her employment with the State of Connecticut and founded The Law Office of Patricia A. Starkey. Since that time, Patricia has been serving Connecticut's legal needs and is now concentrating in the following areas: Real Estate Law, including Closings (Purchases/Sales/Refinances), Short Sales, Mortgage Modifications and Reinstatements; Social Security Disability Law and Supplemental Security Income; Immigration Law; Foreclosure Protection; Bankruptcy Protection; Estate Planning, Probate Administration; and Business Law. 

From 1994 through 1996, while in private practice, Patricia also acted as a Staff Attorney to STA-FED, ADR, INC. an alternate dispute resolution company founded by the late Honorable Robert C. Zampano and also to STA-FED ADR, INC's successor Mediation Consultants, LLC, a private dispute resolution firm formed by Attorney Patricia N. Blair.

Patricia was admitted as a Member of the Bar of Several Courts of The State of Connecticut on December 5, 1988 and as a Member of the Bar of The District Court of Connecticut on September 9, 1991.

Patricia has the following additional Professional Memberships:

Patricia currently resides in the Lordship section of Stratford, Connecticut with Robert F. Boibeaux and the couple's three children.
